Behind the Bell Jar

Plath fans, check out Roxane Gay’s review of Pain, Parties, Work: Sylvia Plath in New York, Summer 1953, the new book about Plath’s summer working at Mademoiselle (which, of course, became the loose basis for The Bell Jar). Not only is it an interesting read, but The Aesthete has a beautiful design (surprise!) that features photos of some of the fancy locations Plath mentions in her journals. Enjoy!
